Inspirado en la exitosa película (que previamente se basa en el libro del mismo título obra de Chris Van Allsburg), el favorito de las Navidades recobra vida con actores personificando los caracteres principales de la historia mientras las familias viajan a bordo de un tren auténtico a vapor equipado al estilo de THE POLAR EXPRESS en pijama (como en el libro)!
Alternando la banda sonora de la película con Christmas carols que todo el mundo canta con aire festivo, el viaje lleva hasta el Polo Norte (North Pole) - se simulan con luces a través de la ventana- se reparte chocolate caliente (hot chocolate, como en la película incluyendo la canción) y galletas. Por último Santa sube al tren y reparte a cada niño (y adulto) un cascabel del trineo (
sleigh bell) exactamente igual que en la película, para aquellos que CREEN (BELIEVE).
Esta era una de las sorpresas que teníamos preparados para Eric, que últimamente nos hace repetirle la historia de THE POLAR EXPRESS varias veces al dia (antes de dormir y la siesta) y que ya predice de memoria con efectos especiales o palabras que conoce.
Su cara fue de fascinación y alegría. Incluso una semana más tarde aun nos pide el billete (ticket), que es una réplica exacta del que se muestra en la película (de hecho el billete tiene un papel importante en la trama de la acción), y lo mira y juega con él. Incluso replicaron la manera como el conductor picaba el billete marcando una letra que solo al final se desvelaba el significado ...
El recorrido es tras la puesta de sol como en la historia!!!
El show se organiza durante las fechas navideñas en casi todas las ciudades importantes (lleva más de una década). En Miami se organizaba en el Gold Coast Railroad Museum.
